Luxury Apartment in the Gothic Palace ![]() A large fully furnished apartment is on offer for short-medium term rental in this historic landmark building. Palacio Salvo was constructed in 1928 in a mixture of styles with influences of Italian gothic, and was for decades the tallest building in South America. Following the inauguration on the 12th October 1928, it rapidly became a symbol of pride for the people of Montevideo. To this day it can be found on most postcards of the city and country and remains a national icon. On the 14th floor, within the exclusive tower section, we have on offer a short-medium term rental apartment for use during your stay in Uruguay. The apartment is a large 70 sq meters, north/east facing, and fully furnished with sofas, cable television, kitchen and cooking implements, double bedroom and sofa bed. The apartment is also furnished with a telephone with free local calls. The apartment makes a great alternative to an hotel, offering lower cost, more space and comfort and complete anonymity in an unparalleled location. Sharing an apartment with friends or family make apartments very economical in comparison to a hotel. The apartment is owned by a Australian/South American couple with lots of travel and experience of apart-hotels from both sides. It will comfortably house four persons and within you will find a hand made booklet on all of the important must see elements to Montevideo, restaurants, shopping centers, survival hints, nightlife, markets and other tourist information on how to best enjoy your stay in Montevideo/Uruguay. Pictures of the apartment, Palacio
Salvo and Montevideo can be found on the links above, as well as contact
